Today, was a very hard day.

But I'm choosing to think of friends, old and new.
My incredible family, who loves me when I'm pretty
 and when I'm ugly.
My God, who is leading me to the places He's pictured us together
and who stands beside me when it's tough.
And holds me when it hurts.
And who understands
when I just don't get it.

That is what I am setting my thoughts on.
And trials are never the end, and trouble won't undo me.
And if a tear falls here and there,
I at least know I'm planting something here,
and perhaps something will grow
that will be strong enough to stand after I lose my feet.

Fond as I am of the wildflowers, even they need rain to drink
And long before colors, blooms, and the breeze,
Their seeds have to break someplace in the deep.

O my this is beautifully stunning. And sister this is exactly what I needed at the very moment. Thank you so much, this is about to make me cry. The whole thing spoke into my spiritual heart, but the line that first greeted me was, "My God who is leading me to the places He's pictured us together". It is so personal the way God is with us. That is what I needed. Thank you again Katrina. :)

Monica, thank you so much for sharing that. This post definitely cost me something to write... and I'm re-reading it myself today too to find my footing and posture for yet another challenging day.
