For those of you I've mentioned it to, and for those of you I haven't, check out the incredible decorating and baking my big sister Kimberly did for her friend's baby shower last weekend!  She blows me away with her creativity - and with what she can do with sugar and flour. ;)

So grateful for FaceTime, so I could get a nice little tutorial of it all the night before.

Christmas Wish List:
and a boyfriend and the What Katie Ate Cookbook (if it ever comes out!).

That's all.
Thanks. ;)

Over-sharing Monday.

I had doll houses like every other little girl when I was little.  Only, the houses were filled with little critters.  That's right.  My parents bought me little families of toy bears, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, etc.  My favorites were the raccoons, but I think that was because I had the baby raccoon the longest (I always especially loved very little things, and babies, lots of babies.... so it came naturally to love all the babies in the families the most.  It also came naturally to lose them first.)  As I saw the above photo this morning, I melted into internal "oooohs" and then wondered, "Why?"  Dangit, Why am I like this?

And then those little toy critters came to mind.... and I wondered just how much that has melded me into the girl I am.  The girl who gets way too attached to pets, and seems to have a strange affinity to owls, elephants, and animals in general.

Somedays, you just need to be wearing all your favorites.

Favorites.

Trendy as they may be, they're mine and each holds their memories.  :)

Funny the little things that bring us comfort and make us feel peculiarly ourselves.

Dear Family,

I've found what I would like for my 25th Birthday.  And it is kind of a big thing.  But then again, 25 is a big year.  Right?  Right.

Pretty, pretty, pretty please...
