Sooo, I think I've decided to not throw a St. Patty's party after all this year.
I'll just save my dimes and dollars.

Since so many of you are in the throws of planning your wedding... :)  Here's a sweet reminder.  And if you need someone to buy you an ice cream and sit with you and talk about planning, or NOT talk about planning... give me a call.  So exited for you ladies in my life who are in this process now - and that at the end of the day, you will be married to the one you love.

PS - I think each of you are handling all the planning beautifully. :)

For those of you I've mentioned it to, and for those of you I haven't, check out the incredible decorating and baking my big sister Kimberly did for her friend's baby shower last weekend!  She blows me away with her creativity - and with what she can do with sugar and flour. ;)

So grateful for FaceTime, so I could get a nice little tutorial of it all the night before.

Mad Men Party
November 2011
The Coterie Room

All photos have been stolen from Mallory Rae MacDonald (center, in the above photo), who was also the creative mind behind the evening. So glad this past year brought these new friends into my life.

I was going to post this on my Tumblr, but.... well, you know.

Last night Kristin, Esther and I enjoyed a perfect "white trash dinner" complete with mac n' cheese with hot dogs, Velveeta appetizers, my first canned beer, and a kind of wine I can't recall.  I received a strike for bringing my dessert in jars.  But I still contest: mason jars were hick before rockabilly suddenly became cool. :/  (Besides, it was just WAY more convenient for carting them on the bus with me to work.)  It started as a 'non-trendy party,' but quickly took a turn for the trailer.  Love you ladies. :)

I did get embarrassed standing in line at the organic-focused grocery store... with my little cart of milk, hot dogs and PBR.  I'm pretty sure I saw some teenagers making fun of me.

Book Club's at my house this month. ;)

Last July we met in my back yard for Jane Austen's Persuasion.

This month, it's Much Ado About Nothing. Feel free to join if you've read it, or care to this week. ;) The information is on Facebook.

I'm plotting the decor and treats in my head. :) Next up: actually finish the play myself. :o

FYI: Boys, this will not be a tea party... do not be afraid to join. It will however be in one of the prettiest gardens you've seen.
