Just when I'm feeling so proud of myself for meeting my 25 book goal for the year...
one of my old classmates from Honors English posts this...
THIS is why I felt like I somehow was an under-achiever at my own English Graduation ceremony! That's when you're supposed to feel like you've just accomplished such a huge feat. Instead, I was thinking, "Crap, why'd no one tell me we were supposed to get two of these at once?!" I was an Honors English grad, I was graduating with distinctions, I thought I was over-achieving. Nope. I simply decided to make these people my friends. These people who set 100 book goals, who win Fulbrights and get full-rides to 5 Universities and have to choose which to pick (ahem!), people who win massive awards and forget to mention it. lol. OH geez. ;) It's okay. I like these people, these over-over-achievers. They're good for me. It's good to get little Facebook reminders that I could push myself more than I do. I could dream bigger than I do.
